Dream Team : Darren Childs

I'm a 30 year old from Peterborough originally - 24 years supporter of the Panthers, have watched speedway wherever I am at the time, Peterborough, Kings Lynn, Boston, Belle Vue etc. So pleased that Sky have taken the sport to a new level and audience - my kids can watch even when we can't get to the Showground. I am going to base my selection on Panthers riders I have seen, still struggled to get it down to seven!!

Mick Poole
The rider I wanted to be when I was growing up, he was rarely headed at the Showground and always the man I wanted to wear the number one race jacket.

Ryan Sullivan
Recent weeks events apart, Flyin Ryan is a Panthers legend, you would always put your money on him winning the last race - and who will ever forget the last race in 2006!!

Jason Crump
Was gutted when he left Peterborough for the last time - rode the Showground better than any other, and still does when he visits for opposing sides (unfortunately). Can't find it in my heart not to support him in the GP's.

Ian Barney
The man who scored Peterborough's only success in anything when I started going, National League Riders Champion in 1984. He was never the most consistent or high scoring but he was the most exciting to watch because you never knew whether he was going to win by a mile or trail round in fourth 20 yrds behind!

Kevin Hawkins
Had to include this guy for his second spell at the club which was the only one I saw - saved me from watching many more losses than I did by taking the number 1 jacket for 3 years and giving his all.

Hans Andersen
Fantastic effort as captain until recently - another with the potential for world titles - legendary in 2006 - team riding with Sully for the title.

David Howe
First watched him practising after the meeting at 14 years old, looked ready to win races even then. Followed him through the reserves with Simon Stead and Olly Allen and he always was the class of the field. If he had stayed at the Showground he would have been a 9 average and possibly a GP regular by now.
