Dream Team : Martin Clark

First watched speedway (Southern Riders Final) at Wimbledon in 1978, or thereabouts. I was hooked! Became a big fan of the Milton Keynes "Knights" as soon as the track opened, and travelled to most home meetings (and numerous away meetings) from my home in London. When I moved to Northampton in the mid-1980s I continued to follow the "Knights" - was chairman of the Supporters' Association for a year. Nowadays I attend meetings at Coventry, Peterborough, Kings Lynn and Oxford on an occasional basis. My team consists of riders I enjoyed watching in the old National League, because I found the racing much more exciting than in the British League!

Bob Humphreys
On his day, unbeatable around the Groveway track, and hard to beat at most away tracks too! Tried hard to nurture new talent by opening his own training track in Milton Keynes.

Andy Hines
Stylish; good team rider; hard to beat

Mike Sampson
Not always popular with opposition fans (!), a battler, and a hard rider to pass.

Andy Grahame
Tidy style, very quick on a good day, but a good team rider too.

Tom Owen
Hard to pick a "best of NL team" without Tom in it - so consistent over so many years

Brett Alderton
Unfortunately died after an accident in his second season as a "Knight" - perhaps the most talented teenge rider I've ever seen!

Rob Lightfoot
Another excellent youngster - career cut short by injury?
