Dream Team: Dean Felton

I grew up supporting Wolves, started riding in 1993 and I am still riding today, now starting my 20th year. I just support speedway really but still have a soft spot for Wolves.

Burrows Nielsen

Sam Ermolenko
imo the greatest rider ever. Should have won more world titles. He is a fantastic team player and an all round nice guy.

Jan Staechmann
Jan is also a really nice guy who has helped me a lot while riding, but the first thing that struck me about Jan was his bike maintainance, it was on a different level. His bikes, workshop or whatever were always spotless.

Tomasz Gollob
I think Tomasz is the most exciting rider around today, yes he is a bit naughty sometimes but he is just amazing when he is at his best.

Buzz Burrows
I've known Buzz for years and although he never hit great heights in his career, he was great entertainment wherever he rode. I hated when I gated on him cause he would scare me! I would feel him rub my tyre with his just to let me know he was there and I could always feel his him inches from me. Great laugh, great guy but glad he retired!

Mark Loram
Another exciting rider. To me always looked like his bikes were slow but he just wrung the neck of them for 4 laps and gave us some memorable moments.

Hans Nielsen
I didn't know him personally but he always came across as a calculating person. He seemed to study his opponents, find their weaknesses and take advantange of it with successful results.

Dave Harvey
Dave is my uncle. He rode for Cradley Heath and Long Eaton in the early seventies, he is now my mechanic and we have really long chats in the van on the way to meetings about speedway then and speedway now and he is a really good mechanic which takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders at meetings.
