HYVINKAA - Finland
By Richard Bills

These photos were taken on 4th August 2015 during the Finnish League match between Haukat (Lahti) v Kotkat (Seinajoki) v Sand Blowers (Hyvinkaa) v Annkurit (Varkaus).

The venue itself is 5km outside the centre of Hyvinkaa, which is easily accessible by train from Helsinki (c. 50 minutes on a commuter train). It is within a motopark, in which there are separate facilities for Motocross and Rallycross.

Prominent in nearly all of the photographs is the micro/mini speedway track on the in-field (a common feature of most Finnish tracks).

The crowd in attendance was around 260 (typical for a Finnish League meeting). A pity there wasn't more, as it is a good race track, where the officials from HyMK (Hyvinkaa Motor Club) are warm and welcoming. Admission was a bargain 10 euros.
