Soundbites: 19th June 2006
"I have been waiting to come to England for a few months but I had to complete my final school
exams first. Now they are out of the way, I cannot wait to start riding for Peterborough.
I have heard great things about British speedway from the likes of Ryan Sullivan and Greg
Hancock and I can't wait to try it out."
"There is no point in going straight into a match unless you are fully fit. My elbow certainly
feels better, it isn't so sore. I'll be able to tell exactly how well it is healing when I'm on
my bike in the second half.
I'm back at my work, and I was told to give it two weeks before practising. This was in
order to build up my muscles again. The doctors know best and I'm heeding their advice."
"Things have started to look a little brighter for us in recent weeks and we are not too far off the playoff places now.
It is going to be hard without Morten (Risager), but if the lads can reproduce the sort of form
they showed at Oxford on Wednesday there shouldn't be a problem."
"I am really proud of the team. Everybody did really well and it was nice to see Richie (Dennis)
at his best. The reserves were awesome and using rider replacement worked well.
I thought it might have been tougher without Benji (Compton). They are a good side and they

"Initially Grzegorz had a groin injury which he suffered when he was hit hard by his
handlebars while riding in Poland. In further tests, doctors have found he has a kidney
stone. It is a compounded injury and he is very upset in that whole area of his body.
He has had the kidney stones lasered, but he goes into hospital again today to see if
he can carry on riding.
It is serious stuff because they might say he could be out for the rest of the season.
Alternatively, he could be told that he could be back for us in our next fixture next week."
"I was very happy to take up the offer. But it goes beyond him helping me at meetings
because we've been talking to a personal trainer who will work with me and we've also
been discussing diet to make sure that is correct. Getting involved with Chris is about
helping me to progress and I am confident it will. It had been in my mind that I
needed someone like him to help but its not always easy to find someone suitable
who is willing to do it."
"The scoreline didn't reflect the effort all the boys put in. Some of our riders had
mechanical problems on the night, but overall I was pleased by our performance."
